February 6, 2018 A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Hualien, the beautiful garden of eastern Taiwan.

While people were sound asleep, preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year, the sudden earthquake tore a crack not only in the buildings and economy of Hualien but also in the hearts of its residents.

Fortunately, as the news spread, many rushed to help. Emergency supplies and assistance were continuously delivered to the affected areas, bringing warmth to Hualien’s cold and shaken night.

As a local brand, APP (Arwana Premium Pump) knew we had to take action. Our headquarters immediately dispatched a support team, working closely with our local branch to assist in disaster relief efforts. At the Limin Nursing Home in Hualien, the water supply system had been severely damaged due to burst pipelines. Using our technical expertise, we helped restore stable, essential water access to the facility.

We also launched an online campaign titled “You Like, We Donate.” Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of internet users, we were able to raise and donate a meaningful amount of aid to the affected residents in Hualien.
